Sophie chapter XVII

I think I went too fast. Maybe it wasn't the right thing to do for now. I actually proposed to Sophie with all the love, passion and honesty I could put into it. But she said it was too sudden and that she's not ready to take that step just yet. I feel like I'm ready but I also have to respect her wishes. That's what partners do, after all. I guess it could be a lot worse. At least the didn't reject me. And she said that she really wants me to be her partner in life so it's just a matter of time. I understand it could have been a little of a shock, what I did. But it's not a problem since we both already know we're meant for each other. Let's just hope the fears she was having a while ago are really gone. But if they aren't, I'll do everything I can do to help her with that. Love will always be there to kepp up united, married or not. The future is still as bright as ever. And the money I put into that pretty ring won't go to waste. She already told me it's a beautiful little jewel anyway. So I'm sure it'll be on her little finger pretty soon. And there might be another ring on the way, you see?
