A light breeze
Blowing through my hair
A wolf
Howling in the distance
Darkness
Hiding the dangers of the wilderness
And me
Lost
In this moonless night
Looking for a light
A light to guide me
To a safe place
But there is none
And so in the night I wander
With hope being the only thing
That keeps me going

Half asleep, I
traced the edges of stars
with my trembling fingertips,
and that shimmering dust
left on the ridges of my fingers
were the only remnants
of my existence

Nightly Reflection
In my bedroom there's a mirror; it stands parallel to my bed.
Each night I glance upon it as I rest my weary head.
I cannot help but wonder, does my reflection do the same?
Or does it take the moment, to wander from the frame?
